Named after Buffalo, New York, the city of Buffalo Wyoming is located along highway 16, couple of miles south of the I-25 and I-90 junction, near Cloud Peak Wilderness Area.
The main point of interest in Buffalo is the Clear Creek Hiking Trail, which goes from Buffalo, along Clear Creek about ten miles to the Big Horn Mountains.
