Drumheller is located in central Alberta, about an hour and a half northeast of Calgary in an area nicknamed 'Dinosaur valley'.
The town is home to the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology, which is one of the largest and most respected palaeontological museums in the world. It is also home to what is considered to be 'the world's largest dinosaur' - a 26 meter tall Tyrannosaurus Rex which unlike the real samples in the museum, is made of steel and is covered with 'skin' made in China.
All hotels and motels in Drumheller are located within two miles of each other and of downtown. Local attractions are within a short drive away.
