Built by the philanthropist J. Graham Brown in 1923, the award-winning Camberley Brown Hotel has been at the center of Louisville social life since its opening.
The Georgian Revival-style exterior of the Brown Hotel is faced with brick and trimmed with stone and terra cotta. Interiors designed in the English Renaissance mode, are richly appointed with antique furnishings and feature lovingly preserved details such as intricate plaster moldings, coffered ceilings, stained glass, Bottocino marble, polished brass and mahogany and oak accents.
Rooms and Suites at the Louisville Brown Hotel tastefully reflect the south at its comfortable best. All rooms and suites are elegantly appointed with armoires, 25-inch TVs, and desks in an above-average sized room.
Bathrooms are also very spacious. Hairdryers, irons and ironing boards are in all rooms, and rollaways, cribs, coffee pots, and refrigerators are available on request.
