Terrace is located in the Skeena River Valley in northern British Coloumbia, up the road from the Coastal town of Prince Rupert. It is about halfway between Vancouver and Juneau, AK.
Though located far north, Terrace, enjoys a moderate climate and relatively low rainfall, thanks to the shelter of the Coast Mountains.
For visitors the town's main attraction is the natural beauty that surrounds it. In close vicinity to town are natural hot springs, world-class fishing, lakes, hiking trails and Shames Mountain ski area.
Hotels and motels in Terrace are all located in the downtown area.
