On the West Coast of Vancouver Island, almost removed from the modern world, lies the friendly village of Tofino, probably the northern most 'surfing town' on the pacific coast.
Famous for its sandy beaches Tofino is the kind of place where the road ends and serenity starts. Even during summer, when tourists flock to town, the atmosphere stays unspoiled.
Just south of the village, the Pacific Rim National Park, opened Mid-March to mid-October offers excellent wilderness hiking trails and diverse scenery.
