The city of Cannon Beach is located on the Pacific Northwest Coast of Oregon along highway 101, 80 miles west of Portland and 25 miles south of Astoria.
Surrounded by rugged terrain of forests, ocean beaches, and rivers, Cannon Beach's coastline features one of the world's largest black monoliths, Haystack Rock.
Other attractions in the area include the Tillamook Head Lighthouse, Ecola State Park, which is located four miles to the north and the Oswald West State Park, which is located south of the City.
Most motels and hotels in Cannon Beach are located east of the 101 highway, within walking distance to the Pacific shoreline, less than 2 miles from the city center.
