The town of Seward Alaska is nestled between Resurrection Bay and Mount Marathon, at the end of a125-mile National Scenic Byway from Anchorage.
Seaward is gateway to the nearby Kenai Fjords National Park. Most of the park is only accessible by boat tours departing from Seward's boat harbor daily during summer months. The only part of the park that is accessible by car is Exit Glacier located just northwest of town where visitors can walk up close to an active glacier.
Another recommended point of interest is the Alaska SeaLife Center. The new multi-million dollar marine science facility has an aquarium with underwater viewing windows and several educational displays.
Hotels and motels in Seward offer clean affordable accommodations. Reservation in advance is recommended for the crowded summer months.
